Rave Community Values Re-Re-Imagined by Bellies Collective

Bellies was officially established in early 2019 as a collective of friends, many of which happen to be musicians, artists, and creative practitioners, creating events together. The core premise of the collective is creating a strong, intimate, yet open and ever expanding community built on long-term personal ties, interdisciplinary collaborations, and what not. In hindsight, we could call our methods diy rave community values for the 21st century.As an event-focused collective, now more than ever, we struggle to find (legal) space to gather. To be able to take part in the Hangar X space would provide us an opportunity to keep growing our community, keep up our regular events, but also, for us to give, expand, inspire and to be inspired. We would like to have an opportunity to gather once a month, to organize our peer-to-peer critique every odd month (for instance) and launch our loose series of events around diy rave community values every even month.

Keramikwerkstatt // Ceramics Workshop

(DE) Wir sind drei Designerinnen aus Berlin und würden gerne mit unserer Keramikwerstatt im Hangar einziehen. Wir wollen uns räumlich vergrößern,um Workshops anbieten zu können. Da Keramikworkshops in Berlin sehr beliebt und teuer sind und somit nicht jeder die Chance hat an diesen teilzunehmen, möchten wir die Kosten so niedrig wie möglich halten. Hierfür wäre der Hangar ein idealer Ort. Wir können uns auch vorstellen gemeinsam mit anderen Kreativen eine Art Kreativgemeinschaft/Werkstätten in einem größeren Raum zu gründen, wo man von und miteinander lernt. /////(ENG) We are three designers from Berlin and would like to move our ceramics workshop into the hangar. We want to expand spatially in order to be able to offer workshops. Since ceramic workshops are very popular and expensive in Berlin and not everyone has the chance to take part, we want to keep the costs as low as possible. The hangar would be an ideal place for this. We can also imagine setting up a kind of creative community / workshops in a larger space with other creative people, where you can learn from and with each other.

The Schachklubhaus is based in Tempelhofer Feld and would like to find some connection that breaches the artificial divide that now exists between the main airport building and the former runways. Keeping the two parts of the site connected with grassroots projects could help protect the site from inappropriate speculative development further fragmenting the site and weakening it´s connection to it´s own international and significant history.

Wood Workshop by Berlin Wood Sisters

Workshop for womxn and girls to learn life changing skills and start their own hand made business. In this place there will be access to modern technology and traditional tools. I had been organizing Wood Sisters meetings since September 2019 and thanks to that I have met hundreds of awesome sisters from all over the world who have helped me by giving their valuable input to this project. After Corona Pandemic we have continued our discussion online, in a closed Facebook group with over 1000 members. This is like our virtual co-working place, where we can learn to know each other and share valuable knowledge and inspiration. At the co-working studio in Tempelhof girls and womxn will have an access to main woodworking tools and have enough space to work on your smaller or bigger projects. They can even start your own little side hustle, or work on a bigger start up project. Berlin Wood Sisters Studio is a place to connect and grow, learn and teach.

(DE) Heart Chor X ist ein vielseitiger Experimentierraum mit offener Bühne. Wir sind ein quer-feministisches Liebeskollektiv, das an die Stärke gemeinsamen Singens glaubt und an Empowerment durch cheesy love songs und (Selbst)liebe. Zusammen singen schafft ein faszinierendes High an Freude und Gemeinschaft. Heart Chor stellt mit ihren Liedern und Performances Konzepte von Schönheitsidealen, Liebe, Heimat und Selbstwahrnehmung auf den Kopf und hinterfragt gesellschaftliche Standards.Wir sind ein Kollektiv an Amateur*innen, die lieben was sie tun. Wir kreieren Erfahrungen, ohne gesellschaftlich konstruiertem Perfektionismus hinterher zu eifern. Menschen die uns erleben und an unseren Formaten mitwirken, werden dadurch ermutigt, sich selbst zu erfahren und auszuleben. So wächst aus der Akzeptanz zu sich selbst die Akzeptanz gegenüber Anderen.Der Chor handelt dabei selbstorganisiert und ohne Hierarchien; Projekte werden selbst-initiiert. Heart Chor X im Hagar X gibt den Chormitgliedern die Möglichkeit, ihren kreativen Vorstellungen freien Gestaltungsraum zu geben, mit externen Akteur*innen und dem Publikum zu interagieren und gemeinsam zu kreieren, sowie bisherige Kooperationen mit Kollektiven wie Passiflora, Eigenklang, Kollektives Bewusstsein, sarisari collective und Nowhere Kitchen weiter auszubauen. In this way, acceptance of oneself grows into acceptance of others.Heart Choir X at Hagar X gives choir members the opportunity to give their creative ideas free rein, to interact and create together with external actors* and the audience, and to further develop existing collaborations with collectives such as Passiflora, Eigenklang, Kollektives Bewusstsein, sarisari collective and Nowhere Kitchen. The focus will be on singing, dance and performance.In Heart Chor X there are regular weekly or monthly projects as well as one-off events.

Urban Assemblea Berlin

Tempelhof Airport, as we know it today, was built during the National Socialist regime, the purpose of Hangar X is to maintain a democratic political culture. The varied history of the site should be critically reflected in its use, and to this end, marginalised groups in particular, who also negotiate the city and rarely have the monetary means to own space, should be given the opportunity to do so. Especially in times of Covid19 the political work of political groups of civil society commitment for a diverse democratic and intersectional Berlin is fostered. Meetings cannot take place in real life because there are no large enough rooms to comply with hygiene regulations. To dispose of these rooms in a Berlin with a high pressure of space is also a question of privilege and leads to the permanent exclusion of these voices. Exclusive digital meetings cannot guarantee the same level of care for each other, require access and ownership of the techni- cal equipment and do not meet security standards. Urban Assemblea Berlin creates space for BLM Groups, Migrantifas, LGBQTI Groups, Disabled Body Politics, Feminist Groups, FFF, Rigth to the City, Urban Activism Groups...
